Straight Slot Mosin Bayonet
This bayonet is very similar to a Russian Mosin bayonet with a locking ring. The main difference is the slot on this bayonet is straight, rather than at an angle like its Russian counterparts. This bayonet bears the marking EA IX, which stands for Erzeigungsabteilung 9 (Production department 9).
It was produced at AZF in Vienna, and EA IX was likely a specific department within the massive facility there. An Austrian eagle can also be seen on this bayonet
